There are a number of tutorials on the Internet that teach you how to use Photoshop or Photoshop elements. There are also lots of good Photoshop resources. You can search the Web for “Photoshop tutorials,” but the better way is to use a tutorial website that has been designed for that purpose. Look at the following sites for quick tutorials:

The good news is it’s available for Mac and Linux. The bad news is it only runs on macOS.
Introduction to Photoshop Elements
From the web design community, Photoshop Elements is an excellent alternative to Photoshop. It’s aimed at amateurs, hobbyists and creative types who use computers to edit images. It contains most of the features you’d expect from the professional version, but there’s one big difference: the UI. It’s been stripped down to the essentials.
Nevertheless, it’s a good app if you want to edit photographs, create new graphics, work with Photoshop or SVG files, create and edit vectors, and perform basic image and photo editing.
However, most of the tutorials I found for Photoshop Elements were written for Windows users. So I’ll try to give you a brief guide for using the Mac version.
And let’s face it, if you’re using macOS, you’ll be using Photoshop on a Mac anyway!
What do you need to use Photoshop Elements?
To run Photoshop Elements, you’ll need the Adobe Creative Cloud. You’ll have to sign up to continue.
If you just have the Photoshop app, you can buy a Creative Cloud subscription and get Photoshop Elements with it. If you have Photoshop Elements on a different computer, you can use the downloadable installer as described below.
If you have Photoshop Elements and the regular version of Photoshop installed, you’ll have all the same options available. You can use these two apps side-by-side or you can run Photoshop Elements alongside another app.
Here’s some more information about the different versions:
Photoshop Elements 8 ($6.99/month)
There’s no sign of it being discontinued. Photoshop Elements 8 is an older version of Photoshop Elements with fewer options than the current version. There’s a lot of value in the trial version, so you can either get the app or the whole suite, depending on your needs.
Adobe Photoshop CS4 Elements ($29.99)
This is the latest version of Photoshop Elements. It runs on Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8.
Applying filters to images
Most image editing programs have built-in tools to apply filters to an image. You can create your own filters, but here are some examples.

Outcomes of endoscopic management of aneurysm.
The aim of this study was to evaluate our surgical outcomes in treating cerebral aneurysms, either by clipping or trapping, and to determine factors predictive of poor outcomes. Over a 6-year period, all patients who underwent surgical treatment for aneurysms were reviewed retrospectively. The study comprised 101 patients. Fifty-eight patients underwent clipping and 43, trapping. Clinical outcomes were assessed by the Glasgow Outcome Scale. The mean post-operative hospital stay was 11.7 days. The mortality rate was 2%. The overall morbidity rate was 15%, and rebleeding after aneurysm surgery occurred in seven patients. Multivariate analysis demonstrated that the presence of subarachnoid hemorrhage and the severity of the vasospasm after endovascular embolization (EVTA) were significant predictors of worse outcome. Seventy-four percent of patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage recovered to a good outcome, while only 42% of those without SAH had good outcomes (p = 0.012). The higher the Glasgow Outcome Scale score, the more favorable the outcome. Trapping has a lower morbidity rate than clipping. When possible, surgical management should be the treatment of choice for ruptured aneurysms. Preoperative EVTA can help to predict poor outcome in patients treated by both surgical clipping and trapping.Get breaking news alerts and special reports. Forty years ago this week, the U.S. Supreme Court effectively ended the debate over abortion by striking down Texas’ most restrictive law, the one that required doctors to bury or cremate fetal tissue.
Twenty years ago, in the landmark Casey v. Planned Parenthood Supreme Court decision, the court made exceptions to protect doctors and patients to go about this one way: surgically.
At that time, the court accepted a narrow view of when abortion rights were allowed. Even in its defense, the court gave the minority view that abortion was “partial birth abortion,” a catchall phrase, but the Supreme Court never defined what constituted this crime.
Those provisions were ostensibly struck down 40 years later, but did not go far enough, according to opponents. They wanted the court to declare abortion on demand — or a broad notion of “partial birth abortion,” which had never been used in that way in any states.
In October, the court did what the Casey

Is perioperative antibacterial prophylaxis associated with a higher risk of postoperative wound infection and extended hospitalization?
The relationships among perioperative prophylactic antibacterial prophylaxis, postoperative wound infection, and hospital stay were evaluated for patients who had soft tissue surgery. One hundred seventy-six patients with soft tissue defects were enrolled in this study. One hundred eighteen patients (67%) underwent an operation in which perioperative antibacterial prophylaxis was not routinely used, whereas 58 patients (33%) had surgery in which perioperative antibacterial prophylaxis was routinely used. All study patients were evaluated for postoperative wound infection and for an extension of hospitalization time. Wound infection was observed in 48% of patients who did not receive perioperative antibacterial prophylaxis and in 29% of patients who received routine perioperative antibacterial prophylaxis. The mean time for discharge from the hospital was 14.4+/-9.5 days for patients who did not receive perioperative antibacterial prophylaxis and 13.6+/-10.2 days for patients who received routine perioperative antibacterial prophylaxis (P=0.518). The use of perioperative antibacterial prophylaxis does not increase the risk of postoperative wound infection and does not significantly affect length of hospital stay.
